At Leguee Farms, we love doing business with great businesses.
Keeping information channels open is vital in agriculture today, and that is why we work with great inputs suppliers to ensure they know what we need and when we will need it. We are never against trying new things if it has hope to increase our farm’s profitability. With Jake’s personal experience in working for an independent ag retail for three years (Top Notch Farm Supply), and Sarah’s experience working for a John Deere dealership (South Country Equipment) our farm is well aware of the challenges in product distribution and logistics. We consider our input suppliers as our partners in growing great crops.
One of the great advantages of living where we do is the plethora of grain companies around us. Viterra, Richardson Pioneer, Louis Dreyfus, Parrish & Heimbecker, Fillmore Seeds, Ceres Global and numerous others are all within short driving distances of our storage locations. We do all that we can to serve our customers’ needs in any way that we can, and in turn, ask the same from our buyers. This fosters a collaborative relationship that will last generations. If you are interested in what our farm has to offer, contact Jake Leguee here.
In today’s world, we realize owning all of the land we farm is all but impossible. For us to be able to grow, we have established numerous relationships with excellent landowners throughout Canada. Our landlords know that we strive to not just farm their land; but to make it better for future generations. With our agronomic skills and high-quality equipment, we treat every piece of land that we farm the same, whether it is rented or owned, and endeavour to improve soil quality every year that we farm it. With over twenty years of experience in no-till and minimum-till agriculture, you can count on us to take care of your land for the long-term. In fact, we have been renting some of our land for over a quarter of a century, and plan to continue to for the foreseeable future.
We know we can’t be experts in everything. The amazing thing about agriculture today is the incredible variety of skills required, from mechanics to finance to computer science, and despite our best efforts, we can’t excel at all of them. That is why we work closely with financial advisors, marketing specialists and professional agronomists to ensure our business meets our customers’ needs. If you are interested in partnering with Leguee Farms, let us know.
